I called Dave ( our insurance agent) to ask for his help with my brother who lives in Columbus. He has been fighting cancer for a year and his work insurance has run out. h
He signed up for A and B medicare but no supplement – he was told he cannot get it until this fall. Well with his bills he really needs it. He has NO knowledge of medical or insurance issues. He does not want to get help from anyone and is very stubborn. Well I asked him if I could contact my guy ( Dave ) with questions. He actually said yes. Dave set up a 3 way call to discuss and advise him. To make a long story short (kinda) we were on the phone for 2 hours. Dave found out he was on OPERS and he needed to sign up though them. We could have been done in 30 min but he told use if he did not sign up through OPERS he would loose his medicare monthly stipend. He contacted OPERS on the phone ( now 4 way call) and stayed on long enough for my brother to sign up. I am SOOOO thankful – If we had stopped this phone call at any time I know my brother would not have called OPERS back. I cannot thank you enough Dave for your help and kindness. You got NO benefit from this 2 hours but I want you to know my gratitude and thanks and prayers will always be in my heart. Thanks!!!!!
